On the 28th June students from Year 11 boarded coaches and headed to Escot Estate in East Devon for one week. There they camped with National Citizen Service (NCS) team leaders and undertook a range of activities such as kayaking, rock climbing and team challenges. Upon their return to Plymouth, they undertook social action projects whilst being based at the YMCA building with NCS their team leaders. During this second week, students managed their own projects and events with their team leaders, and built invaluable skills ahead of their Post-16 provision. One of their events raised over £200 for the homeless. They have gained lots of new skills to add to their CVs and have grown in confidence. We are all very proud of them, well done to all involved!
