New Clubs at Millbay Academy

Millbay Academy is proud to announce a new and improved way of staying connected with our clubs and extracurricular activities. This system makes it more convenient for both students and parents/carers to see what clubs are available and to secure a place. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early! If your child is interested in joining a lunch time club, speak to the staff mentioned below and speak with them to sign up.

Why Arbor?

We are moving over to the Arbor App because it provides a modern, streamlined way of keeping all information in one place. It ensures our students are safeguarded and that parents/carers are fully aware of their child’s whereabouts. The system also supports our office team by creating structured registers and allows for quick, easy communication if a club is cancelled or if any important updates need to be shared.

Missed Out?

If your child misses out on signing up for a club this term, there will be another opportunity at the start of the next term. At the end of every half term, registers will be refreshed, giving all students a fair chance to sign up for their club of choice.

Closed Clubs

Please be aware that some of the clubs listed below are ‘closed clubs’, meaning the is designated to the same students from last term. Please keep an eye on the Arbor app to see which clubs are available for sign‑up. If a club does not appear on the app, it is because it is either a lunchtime club, a closed club or a club that has already reached full capacity.

3 Strikes

As there are many students eager to join clubs and not everyone can secure a place, it’s important to recognise that these opportunities are special and valuable. A new rule has been introduced: if a student misses a club three times, they will be removed to allow another student (who will attend regularly) the chance to take part.
