Course content - What will you be studying?
After learning a mixture of theory and practical skills throughout Years 7 and 8, Year 9 will focus mainly on programming. Developing the skills needed, not only if you opt to study the GCSE, but also to extend your interest and passion for Computer Science and technology. We will explore how the BBC microbits can be used to solve a range of problems and extend our Python programming knowledge. We will also dive into web design and learn the basics of HTML and CCS.
Assessment
Students will be assessed informally through the year through classwork, exam questions and practical skills.
Enrichment opportunities (Extra curricular clubs)
Extracurricular activities will include our very own Cyber Security Club.
Transition to Key Stage 4 courses
OCR GCSE Computer Science (9-1).
