Introducing the New DfE Education Record App for Exam Results 2025/2026

This summer, the Department for Education (DfE) is introducing a new national system that will provide every Year 11 pupil with a digital education record, accessible through a secure mobile app. This record brings together key information about each pupil’s education and will include their exam results once released. This new digital system will support pupils as they move into post‑16 education and Millbay Academy will hold our full in‑person Results Day on Thursday 20th August, where students will receive their results and have access to support, guidance and celebration with staff and peers.

The app is designed to support pupils as they move into post‑16 education and employment. It offers several practical benefits:

  • A secure digital place to store exam results
  • Useful for college, sixth form, apprenticeship and job applications
  • Removes the need to produce paper certificates in the future
  • Keeps data safe and accessible on a personal device

This makes the app a helpful tool after Results Day, especially when sharing verified results with colleges or employers.

This Year's Results Day Thursday 20th August

Millbay Academy will be holding our full Results Day on 20th August, where students will receive their exam results. Staff will be on site from 9am - 12pm for students to collect their results. Please ensure you arrive within these times.

Results Day remains an important milestone for our pupils. It provides:

  • A supportive environment to open results
  • Immediate access to teachers and careers staff
  • Guidance for next steps, especially if plans need adjusting
  • A chance to celebrate achievements as a school community

The digital app complements this process by giving pupils a secure way to store and share their results afterwards. It does NOT replace Results Day.
