Shallowford Farm Trip

As part of the preparation for GCSE, Year 9 pupils visited Shallowford Farm last week. They had lots of fun herding the sheep and finding out about piglets as well as interacting with the animals. They also were able to carry out population surveys of Devil's-bit scabious in order to help the conservation project at the farm. The day finished with pupils investigating the quality of soil and discovering how hay bales are made.
