Year 3 are working with Plymouth University Architecture and Early Years students on an exciting project in Stonehouse Creek called 'MYSelf, MYSpace, MYPlace'.
For this project the children will be designing and prototyping a mobile, child-friendly outdoor story telling place, sited in Stonehouse Creek. This space will be for local children to use for outdoor classroom activities. The project also connects to the ethos of sustainability, working with sustainable (recycled) building materials and construction techniques (mainly recycled timber and other reclaimed materials – e.g. metal, plastics, fabric, etc.)

So far the children have had a great time exploring the space and creating dens with the students. The students have collated the children's ideas and are now creating prototypes which the children will be able to view at the University on an upcoming trip.
