Macbeth, Electrical Circuitry and Sound Pictures!
To kickstart our English, we revisited super writing techniques and drafted a narrative opening around an image of three witches, before writing it up in our personal best. This image was then revealed to be a freeze frame from the Shakespeare play, Macbeth- we will be using this play to inspire our script writing over the coming weeks. To familiarise ourselves with the play, we ‘whooshed’ our way through it in an exciting drama lesson.
Our bright sparks have also been creating circuits using batteries, wires, and bulbs this week. We’re learning all about renewable and non-renewable sources of electricity, and also creating a piece of artwork that uses circuitry to light up.
In Art we were busy in the last week before school opened creating wonderful pictures based on sound using only colour and shapes. These have now made it into school in a beautiful display.
