In Year 5 we have been investigating forces. Here we are testing whether the size of the parachute makes a difference to how fast it falls. We discovered that the larger the parachute, the slower the descent, because air resistance is stopping the parachute from falling, while gravity is pulling it down.
Year 5 have also been looking at the story “The Rain Player’ in English. They have focused on character description and using expressive language. This week they have reenacted different parts of the story and shared this with the rest of the class.
